Các định dạng đề thi Vstep

Đề thi Vstep (Vietnamese Standardized Test of English Proficiency) được thiết kế để đánh giá khả năng sử dụng tiếng Anh của người học ở các cấp độ khác nhau. Vstep bao gồm các bài thi:

Đối với đề thi Vstep bậc 3-5, mỗi kỹ năng chiếm 25% tổng điểm bài thi. Số điểm làm tròn tới 0,5 điểm. Điểm thi sẽ được quy đổi sang từng trình độ tương ứng như sau:

• Từ 4,0 – 5,5 điểm đạt B1
• Từ 6,0 – 8,0 điểm đạt B2
• Từ 8,5 – 10 điểm đạt C1 

Cấu trúc đề thi Vstep bậc 2

Đề thi Vstep bậc 2 nhằm đánh giá khả năng sử dụng tiếng Anh cơ bản của thí sinh. Định dạng bài thi được ban hành dựa theo Quyết định số 1481/QĐ-BGDĐT. 

Bài thi kiểm tra đầy đủ 4 kỹ năng Nghe – Đọc – Viết – Nói, phản ánh khả năng sử dụng tiếng Anh trong các tình huống học tập và giao tiếp quen thuộc. Mỗi phần thi sẽ có cấu trúc cụ thể như sau:

Đề thi Vstep bậc 2 – kỹ năng nghe

Đề thi VSTEP bậc 2 – kỹ năng Nghe có thời gian làm bài khoảng 25 phút, bao gồm 5 phút chuyển đáp án sang phiếu trả lời và tổng điểm tối đa là 25 điểm. Bài thi gồm 5 phần, mỗi phần có 5 câu hỏi như sau:

• Phần 1 (5 câu): Nghe các thông báo ngắn và trả lời câu hỏi trắc nghiệm
• Phần 2 (5 câu): Nghe các đoạn hội thoại ngắn và trả lời câu hỏi trắc nghiệm
• Phần 3 (5 câu): Nghe bài giảng ngắn và trả lời câu hỏi trắc nghiệm
• Phần 4 (5 câu): Nghe thông báo ngắn và điền từ còn thiếu vào chỗ trống
• Phần 5 (5 câu): Nghe hội thoại ngắn và điền từ còn thiếu vào chỗ trống

Đề thi Vstep bậc 2 – kỹ năng đọc

Đề thi VSTEP bậc 2 – kỹ năng Đọc, thí sinh sẽ có 40 phút làm bài, bao gồm cả thời gian chuyển kết quả sang phiếu trả lời, với thang điểm tối đa 25 điểm. Nội dung bài thi được chia thành 4 phần gồm:

• Phần 1 (8 câu): Đọc các đoạn văn ngắn và chọn đáp án đúng cho các câu hỏi trắc nghiệm.
• Phần 2 (8 câu): Ghép các đoạn văn ngắn với các thông báo tương ứng.
• Phần 3 (7 câu): Đọc các đoạn văn ngắn và trả lời các câu hỏi trắc nghiệm.
• Phần 4 (7 câu): Đọc các đoạn văn dài hơn và trả lời các câu hỏi yêu cầu thí sinh tìm kiếm thông tin cụ thể.

Đề thi Vstep bậc 2 – kỹ năng viết

Đề thi VSTEP bậc 2 – kỹ năng Viết thí sinh có 35 phút làm bài, với thang điểm tối đa 25 điểm. Nội dung bài thi tập trung kiểm tra khả năng viết câu đúng ngữ pháp, diễn đạt thông tin ngắn gọn, rõ ràng. Cấu trúc bài thi gồm 3 bài viết như sau:

• Bài 1: Viết 5 câu hoàn chỉnh từ những cụm từ cho sẵn.
• Bài 2: Viết một tin nhắn hoặc một bản ghi nhớ trong công việc theo những yêu cầu cho sẵn.
• Bài 3: Viết một bức thư hoặc một bưu thiếp liên quan đến cuộc sống hằng ngày theo những yêu cầu cho sẵn.

Đề thi Vstep bậc 2 – kỹ năng nói

Đề thi VSTEP bậc 2 – kỹ năng Nói có tổng thời gian làm bài khoảng 10 phút (bao gồm 2 phút chuẩn bị), với thang điểm tối đa 25 điểm. Phần thi tập trung kiểm tra khả năng phản xạ, diễn đạt ý đơn giản, phát âm, ngữ điệu và mức độ tương tác trong giao tiếp. Cấu trúc bài thi gồm 4 phần, cụ thể như sau:

• Phần 1: Chào hỏi (1 phút).
• Phần 2: Tương tác xã hội (3 phút) – Trả lời 3-5 câu hỏi về 2 chủ đề khác nhau và được phép đặt tối đa 2 câu hỏi cho giám khảo.
• Phần 3: Miêu tả (2 phút) – Miêu tả người, đồ vật hoặc môi trường sống, làm việc và học tập một cách cụ thể.
• Phần 4: Thảo luận (2 phút) – Trả lời đồng ý hoặc không đồng ý với một ý kiến và đưa ra một gợi ý liên quan đến ý kiến đó.

Đề thi Vstep bậc 3 – 5 nhằm đánh giá khả năng sử dụng tiếng Anh ở mức độ trung cấp và cao cấp. Cấu trúc đề thi cũng gồm 4 kỹ năng: nghe, đọc, viết và nói, nhưng độ khó sẽ tăng dần từ bậc 3 đến bậc 5.

Đề thi Vstep bậc 3 – kỹ năng nghe

Đề thi VSTEP bậc 3 – kỹ năng Nghe (Listening) có tổng thời gian làm bài khoảng 40 phút, với thang điểm tối đa 10 điểm. Nội dung bài nghe có độ khó tăng dần qua từng phần, yêu cầu thí sinh duy trì sự tập trung xuyên suốt toàn bài. Cấu trúc bài thi gồm 3 phần như sau:

• Phần 1 (15 câu): Nghe các đoạn hội thoại ngắn và trả lời câu hỏi trắc nghiệm.
• Phần 2 (10 câu): Nghe các bài giảng ngắn và trả lời câu hỏi trắc nghiệm.
• Phần 3 (10 câu): Nghe các bài nói chuyện dài hơn và trả lời câu hỏi trắc nghiệm.

• Phần 1 (10 câu): Đọc các đoạn văn ngắn và trả lời câu hỏi trắc nghiệm.
• Phần 2 (10 câu): Đọc các bài báo/tạp chí và trả lời câu hỏi trắc nghiệm.

Directions: In this section of the test, you will read FOUR different passages, each followed by 10 questions about it. For questions 1-40, you are to choose the best answer A, B, C, or D to each question. Then, on your answer sheet, find the number of the question and fill in the space that corresponds to the letter of the answer you have chosen. Answer all questions following a passage on the basis of what is stated or implied in the passage.

You have 60 minutes to answer all the questions, including the time to transfer your answers to the answer sheet.

PASSAGE 1 – Questions 1-10

Mount Rushmore is a well-known monument in the Black Hills of South Dakota that features the countenances of four United States presidents: Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Lincoln. What is not so well known is that the process of creating this national treasure was not exactly an uneventful one.

Mount Rushmore was the project of the visionary sculptor John Gutzon de la Mothe Borglum, who was born in Idaho but studied sculpture in Paris in his youth and befriended the famous French sculptor Auguste Rodin. In 1927, Borglum was granted a commission by the federal government to create the sculpture on Mount Rushmore. Though he was nearly sixty years old when he started, he was undaunted by the enormity of the project or the obstacles that it engendered. He optimistically asserted that the project would be completed within five years, not caring to recognize the potential problems that such a massive project would involve: the problems of dealing with financing, with government bureaucracy, and with Mother Nature herself. An example of what Mother Nature had to throw at the project was the fissure — or large crack — that developed in the granite where Jefferson was being carved. Jefferson had to be moved to the other side of Washington, next to Roosevelt, because of the break in the stone. The work that had been started on the first Jefferson had to be dynamited away.

Mount Rushmore was not completed within the five years predicted by Borglum and was in fact not actually completed within Borglum’s lifetime, although it was almost finished. Borglum died on March 6, 1941, at the age of seventy-four, after fourteen years of work on the presidents. His son, Lincoln Borglum, who had worked with his father throughout the project, completed the monument within eight months of his father’s death.

Đề thi Vstep bậc 3 – kỹ năng viết

Đề thi VSTEP bậc 3 – kỹ năng Viết (Writing) có thang điểm tối đa là 10 điểm, trong đó điểm số được phân bổ không đều giữa hai bài để phản ánh mức độ yêu cầu về tư duy và lập luận. Tổng thời gian làm bài là 60 phút, với cấu trúc bài thi như sau:

• Bài 1 (Viết tương tác): Viết một bức thư hoặc email khoảng 120 từ (ví dụ: xin thông tin, phản hồi, đề nghị…). Bài này chiếm 1/3 tổng điểm của bài thi Viết.
• Bài 2 (Viết luận): Viết một bài luận khoảng 250 từ về một chủ đề cho sẵn, yêu cầu thí sinh trình bày quan điểm cá nhân, lập luận logic và đưa ra ví dụ minh họa. Bài này chiếm 2/3 tổng điểm.

Đề thi Vstep bậc 3 – kỹ năng nói

Đề thi VSTEP bậc 3 – kỹ năng Nói (Speaking) với tổng thời gian làm bài là 12 phút, có thang điểm tối đa 10 điểm. Trong đó giám khảo chấm trực tiếp dựa trên độ trôi chảy, từ vựng, ngữ pháp, phát âm và mức độ hoàn thành yêu cầu.

Cấu trúc bài thi gồm 3 phần, mức độ khó tăng dần:

• Phần 1 (Tương tác xã hội): Trả lời 3-6 câu hỏi về 2 chủ đề khác nhau (2-3 phút).
• Phần 2 (Thảo luận giải pháp): Thảo luận về một tình huống và các giải pháp đề xuất (4-5 phút).
• Phần 3 (Phát triển chủ đề): Trình bày về một chủ đề cho sẵn và trả lời các câu hỏi thảo luận (3-4 phút).

Thời gian: 12 phút
